1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into 6 pieces

check

2 eggs, beaten

check

1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk

check

2 teaspoons salt

check

2 teaspoons ground black pepper

check

2 teaspoons garlic powder

check

2 teaspoons onion powder

check

2.5 cups all-purpose flour

check

1.5 cups vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • 1

Mix the eggs and evaporated milk in a bowl. Add most of the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set aside.

  • 2

Sprinkle a little salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on both sides of the chicken pieces.

  • 3

Heat 1.5 cups of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Put 2.5 cups of flour in a plastic bag.

  • 4

Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture, then put it in the bag with flour. Shake the bag to coat the chicken with flour. Put the coated chicken in the hot oil. Check the oil is hot by sprinkling a little flour in it - if it fries, it's ready.
