Ingredients 9
2 cups maple syrup
2 cups heavy cream
0.75 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
0.75 cup white sugar
0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon baking powder
0.5 teaspoon fine salt
1.75 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
-
1
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Butter a deep baking dish and put it on a sheet pan.
-
2
Boil maple syrup and heavy cream in a deep saucepan over medium-high heat. Turn off the heat when it starts to bubble and set aside.
-
3
Mix butter and sugar together until creamy. Add vanilla extract and 1 egg, then mix in the other egg. Add baking powder, salt, and flour, and mix until just combined.
-
4
Put the batter in the prepared dish and pour the maple-cream sauce on top, leaving some space at the top. Save any extra sauce.
-
5
Bake in the center of the oven for about 30 minutes, until the pudding is golden brown and a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving with any extra sauce.
