1 (12 ounce) jar kimchi

1 large egg

0.25 cup water

1 teaspoon brown sugar

0.5 teaspoon salt

0.5 teaspoon sesame oil

0.5 cup thinly sliced green onions

0.75 cup all-purpose flour, or as needed

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

4 tablespoons bonito flakes

    Step 1 (Put kimchi in a sieve to drain. Save some juice. Chop the kimchi into small bits.)

    Step 2 (Mix egg, water, 3 tablespoons of kimchi juice, brown sugar, salt, and sesame oil in a bowl. Stir in the chopped kimchi and green onions. Add flour and mix until it is combined.)

    Step 3 (Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Put a few spoonfuls of batter in the pan. Cook for 3 minutes until the edges are brown. Flip the pancake and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes. Do this for the rest of the batter.)

    Step 4 (Put bonito flakes on top of the pancakes.)
