Ingredients 14
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1 pound boneless pork sirloin, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
0.5 head cabbage, shredded
4 carrots, diced
0.5 teaspoon salt, or to taste
0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
2 pinches monosodium glutamate (MSG)
0.125 cup all-purpose flour
0.125 cup water
30 spring roll wrappers
1 quart oil for frying
1 (8 ounce) package dry pancit (Canton) noodles
1 cup apple cider vinegar
4 cloves chopped garlic
Instructions
-
1
Boil 2 quarts of water. Cook chicken for 10 to 15 minutes. Keep the water to use as stock later. Let the chicken cool and cut it into small cubes.
-
2
Brown the pork in a large pan. Add the chicken, cabbage, and carrots. Cook on medium heat until the cabbage is soft. Set the mix aside to cool.
-
3
Mix flour and water in a bowl to make a glue. Put a line of filling on each wrapper. Roll them up and seal the edge with the glue. Save some filling for the noodles.
-
4
Heat 1/2 to 1 inch of oil in a pan. Fry the rolls until they are golden brown. Stand them up in a bowl with paper towels to drain.
-
5
Put the saved filling back on the stove. Mix in the pancit noodles. Pour in the chicken stock and cook until the noodles are soft.
-
6
Crush garlic with a spoon or pestle. Mix the garlic into the vinegar. Serve this in small bowls to use as a dip.
