    Step 1 (Preheat the oven's broiler and put a rack 6 inches from the heat. Line a baking sheet with foil and brush with 2 teaspoons of olive oil.)

    Step 2 (Spread 1 pint of cherry tomatoes, 1 roughly chopped yellow onion, 8 unpeeled garlic cloves, and 3 sliced jalapeno peppers on the baking sheet.)

    Step 3 (Broil for 5 minutes, then turn the baking sheet and continue broiling until the vegetables are charred, about 5 minutes more. Let cool slightly.)
