12 yellow onions, skins removed and reserved

    Step 1 (Combine 5 cups of water, onion skins from 12 yellow onions, and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.)

    Step 2 (Remove onion skins and add 12 eggs to the dye. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes. Leave eggs in the dye for 30 more minutes.)
